He hears the prayers of the righteous. His eyes and his ears are open to our prayer. So when I pray, God answers. Welcome to the iRefresh podcast where every conversation points to the life-changing power of God's living Word. Let's pursue God together one conversation at a time. Welcome to another episode of I Refresh. I have with me a wonderful guest, and it's Malou Osea. Welcome. Thank you. So good to hear. When we met over a year ago that God was doing something amazing in your life, and we had the opportunity at I Refresh to even pray with you, but we want to go back to what has God been doing in your life that's inspired you to be a bold woman of faith, to speak what God put in your heart. Well, I started in Michigan. We were in Michigan. When I got born again, I was really in the, you know, I was very depressed at that time. But then somebody told me about the Lord, and I was invited in a prayer meeting. That's when I started to be, there was hope in my life because I was so depressed. I didn't know what to do with my life. I thought I'm just a housewife. that's all the rest of my kids. Although a housewife is important in our lives. Yeah. But I think something the Lord was putting on your heart though is God beyond the housewife what can I be doing for your kingdom? I didn't know anything because I don't have a Bible. Wow. I didn't know God, but then somebody gave me the Bible just to shorten it out. And I read the Bible after that. And then at the point I read everything. And then I said, cover to cover, I read, I said, Lord, I didn't know. I cannot understand. But then I began to read the New Testament and in the book of Acts, there was a gift. I said, what is this gift? I want to receive the gift. That's the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I become so curious. And I thought to myself, hmm. Lord, I want to receive. And I thought it would come there. And it would come here. And the whole morning, nothing happened. And then I called my friend. I said, hey, Senny. There's a gift. I want to have, I want to receive the gift. Oh, just go to the Bible study and they will pray for you and you will receive. And that's what happened. I received. When I received the baptism, my smile is from here up to there. And you are a joyful person for sure. I was not joyful before. But when I received the baptism, the empowerment that I didn't know I had that power. Oh, praise the Lord. Hallelujah. I prayed from morning to evening, day after day, and then they give me scriptures. I was able to memorize the scriptures. Powerful. And I've been praying a lot. And I've seen something to do, you know, with God. I was so... I'm amazed. I said, oh, Lord, I thank you that you live big in me. I thank you that I can be something out of nothing. And I didn't know it was in the Bible. But then what I'm hearing, too, is your depression turned into a joy. Oh, yes. He turned my sorrow into joy. Because He transformed you. Oh, yes. And that's the power of the Holy Spirit flowing through us when we yield to Him. And also, I accepted what the Lord says in His Word. And the Word said, His Word is health and healing to all our flesh. I become to be interested in the book of Proverbs. A lot of wisdom, so much. I have the mind of Christ in the wisdom. Oh, boy, I tell you. It just gives me all the things that God wants me to have. And so when I have it, I really pray for people. Anything I see, do you want me to pray for you? It's just pray, pray, pray, pray, pray. not stopping. But that's a heart that has a desire to serve as like an evangelist, because you're willing to testify of the goodness of the Lord. I didn't know. I didn't know anything. But then I went to church called World Church. It's Kit Butler, graduated from Brema. And I tell you, Even in that period of time, I don't know how to drive. I don't have a car. The first thing I asked the Lord, I said, Lord, I need a car, so I didn't go to church. My husband, all of a sudden, thought, to buy a new car and he gave me the old car. Praise the Lord. Thank you, Lord. So I went, you know, God answers this prayer. Amen. And so when I went to church, boy, I tell you, I don't want the first row because I cannot get it. It's for the relatives of the pastor. I am in the second row and I was just, I'm just absorbing, absorbing. And I was a member of the prayer group in that time. And that prayer group, you know, I was, I'm just happy to be used by God in prayer because there's so many answered prayer. Even a small thing, God answered. I got so excited. This is good. I love it. Well, when you were in that time of prayer, they were directing kind of what to pray for. Is that what I understand when you were at that church? Yeah, we have so many things to pray for. Souls. It's just evangelism, something like that. And so... Everywhere I go, I share the gospel, especially in the grocery, Asian grocery, where I've met some Filipinos, you know, I'm from the Philippines. And so when I see Filipinos, I said, oh, this is candidate for the kingdom of God. And I would make them friendly to them. And so I share the gospel. But some of them, they have question because of the tradition. I understand that because of the prayer group that I went to. So anyway, I learned a lot. And then one time we were in Kabul Hall. I was so amazed with these testimonies about what God is doing in their life and the change of life. And that's what I'm so intrigued. I said, Lord, you know, I just I was crying. And then also I attended one of these. It's a Faith for Miracle. It's a radio ministry. And so some of my friends, we were there because we were so excited to hear more about God. Prayed for miracles. And that, you know, with all the people there, I was called and prophesied to me. I didn't understand anything. I was just crying because the Lord has something for me to do. But you know what I'm hearing too, when the Apostle Paul says to desire all of the gifts. I didn't know about it too. Yeah, so the thing is beautiful is as you were hungering for more of the Lord, as you hungered, He was giving to you. And so it sounds like now He's just taking to another level because when you ask, He's so generous to give to us those gifts. Yeah, yeah. My husband miraculously was taken to ORU because he's a doctor. Okay. So he was accepted as one of the physicians in Faith Center. Okay. Not Faith Center. Was that the City of Faith? City of Faith. That's what. I'm sorry. Yes. Anyway. When we were there, I was so excited to be a volunteer. I was a volunteer beautician because I have that background. So I'm doing things for the patients. But while I'm doing their hair, I'm praying. I'm praying and I'm praying for their recovery, something like that. And then I would be praying for all the patients of my husband. They got healed. miraculously. And then also there's a time that I was in this room in the hospital where the people are so depressed. I think it's a psychiatric part. And I was able to pray for this lady. This lady said, you know what? I am asking for the baptism for seven years. I have not had it. I said, you know, it's so easy. I just lay hands on you and you will receive it. Did you know what? That's what God did. Amen. Wow. For seven years. That's beautiful. And here I am. I'm a small volunteer beautician. But you're flowing with the Holy Spirit. And when you're obedient to His voice, there's nothing better than when you're flowing with what He's doing to guide because He knows who's open to receiving from Him. Yeah. And I was so excited. And then the laughter came. And the two of us were laughing, and the nurse said, What did you do there, Malou? I don't know. I just laughed and laughed and laughed. And she laughed, and the depression just went away. That's beautiful. So he heals physically, but he also heals our emotions. Yeah, that's also my anointing, to heal the broken heart and bind up the wounds. Because God said so. It's his word. It's his word. I'm just flowing in it. You were talking about at the beginning you didn't have a Bible, you didn't know anything. But somehow at some point you also started hearing God's voice. What transpired to where you didn't have a Bible, didn't know anything, to where you were getting so much revelation? Well, one time I was praying. I prayed. This is what I started, just praying and praying. I'm the only one talking. I don't hear God. I don't hear God. And all of a sudden I stopped and he said, be quiet, be still, know that I'm God. I said, ooh, who's that? Is that you, Lord? I didn't know about it. But then when I read the Bible, it's there. Be still, know that I'm God. So the Lord is speaking to me. So I said, Lord, I want to hear from you. I don't want to talk and talk and, you know, I want to hear from you. But it took me some time. It's just probably three, five years ago that I said, okay, Lord, I want to hear from you. I want to. I just want to have communication. It's not only me talking. And so now I can hear because the Bible says, I hear the voice of my good shepherd. I hear my father's voice, the voice of the stranger. I will not follow. And so I standing on, I've been claiming, claiming, you know, desiring to hear from God. And then all of a sudden, he also taught me to be quiet. and listen. Sometimes it will take 15 minutes, sometimes 30 minutes. And when I waited, that's when I heard his voice. And that's what I'm excited. It's just waiting. We have to wait. Because without, you know, we cannot just talk and talk. It's a conversation, just like we're conversing now. See, you talk, I talk. But we're also listening. Yes, but you listen. Yeah, I listen to you, you listen to me. That's how we are with the Lord. We need to communicate with Him. And you hear His voice now. Oh, yeah. Very much. Yeah, because I want to have a really close relationship. I want to know Jesus. I want to know the Holy Spirit. And sometimes the Father is the one talking to me. And that's that's drills me. That's that's so exciting. You know, this is what my my my heart. I said, if you know Donald Trump as a president, you don't have the communication with him, even though he's the president. But with God, almighty God, the creator of heaven, who created me, I can't converse with him. I can hear him. Amen. Isn't it? So good. So good. I love it. And only God can do it. Yes, it is. Nothing is impossible. He is the God of the impossible. So why worry? That's another thing that I taught them. Don't worry for nothing, but by everything, by praying, supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God that passeth all understanding be with you. And that peace is in me. That anything happens surrounding me, I am calm because I know God is with me. And if God is for you, it can be against you. No weapon formed against the righteous shall prosper. Amen. Amen. Amen. When we talked, you had felt a calling last year that you needed to go back to the Philippines. And so tell me a little bit even about what led you up to where you felt like you were supposed to go beyond even here in the United States and here in the Tulsa area. Well, this is what happened. I was in my room praying and then all of a sudden the Lord, I heard from the Lord and He said, you go. I said, okay. Okay, Lord. And I know I have the gift, but I don't have the connection. But I have a pastor back home, back in the Philippines. And I told him, I'm coming. He said, okay, can you speak to us? Can you be our guest speaker? I said, okay, but you tell me what is your attainment? What is your education? I said, well, I've been to a Bible school in my church. And so I told him what I have done. So I said, okay, you will be here with us. And so that's the first time I spoke in the church. It's a four-square church in the Philippines. So when I spoke in there, guest speaker, I just spoke what's in my heart. I didn't even look at my notes. It's just simultaneous. It's just flow and flow and flow. And they were amazed. They were just... And then after my preaching, I went to my seat and I was waiting for the Holy Spirit. And then the Lord spoke to me and said, pray for the singers, the praise and worship team. I said, okay, Lord. And then I spoke to the pastor. I said, I'm supposed to pray for the singers. Okay. So one by one, they came over here and one by one, they fell into the power. And I was so surprised. I said, I don't know I have that power. There's a power in the Word. So I preached the Word. I preached, you know. And they felt some of them, they were crying. There was an anointing to set them free. That's why they are crying. Because the Lord used every one of them into the kingdom. So I'm just like... flowing the Spirit, and in my heart, I could see that the Lord is using me in that area where the people will receive the anointing to be set free. And that's that dunamis power. That's that power that the Lord shows us that He gave, Jesus gave us that authority so that when we can speak in His name according to His will, that we can see what you're seeing. You're seeing the manifestation of the presence of the Lord. being revealed in different ways, in healing and restoring. And I think that's what's... I think it's wonderful, is how God can heal the physical. And those are those dramatic things. But when you've seen someone, especially when someone has gone through a lot of emotional aching, you can see their countenance change. That's what they saw. And that's so instant, as well as like someone's arm extends, where I've heard of that. Most of them, yeah. But when you see that lifted, because a lot of times, you know, through... different medications and all kinds of therapies. It's like they continue to struggle. But when the Holy Spirit comes, it's so beautiful to see how the Lord ministers and literally shifts and changes everything within them. Yeah. Well, to tell you the truth, in the Philippines, we don't have this kind of, you know, medicine here where you can go to hospital. You have insurance. Those people doesn't have health insurance. So they really, you know, stick in the... They rely on the Lord. You know, and they rely on the miracle that God can give them. So that's why... They change. And one of the ladies that I prayed for, now she is in the ministry in one of the island. Beautiful. Yeah, and she was crying. She was, oh boy, the cry. And I said, why is she crying like that? And one of my friends said, you know what, that's cleansing. The Holy Spirit is cleansing her for the work of the ministry. And that's what the Lord, you know, put in my heart, you know. Because it's God. It's not me. I am just obedient. I just want to obey. That's all I need. But you know what I love about you is because you flow with such joy. Like when I was just at a women's conference, I was speaking. fellow friend here, Rochelle, in our ministry, she had invited me to speak at their conference. And you wanted to, like at the very end, you're like, I want to testify. I want to testify. And that's what's the beauty is, is that you don't want to shrink back to give God the glory that Lord, he answers our prayers. I think so often because sometimes some people's prayers seem they're delayed or they, it's the years go by. And yet I think the Lord wants us to all come together. That's what we've been sharing in our recent podcast is that that impact of praying and coming into agreement with each other and and what you've said taking god's word at that face value like he he is true to his word he will accomplish right and that's what's so powerful so tell me what god has done with you even recently you were testifying with me is how did god work through you when you went back to the philippines recently Well, recently I went back and this time it's so much glorious because I was able to speak to intercessors and in the churches. But even in the church, the Lord impressed me to tell them about the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. I said, are you empowered with the Holy Spirit? Do you know that there is power when you pray in the Holy Ghost? And their eyes were opened, I said. And then I would minister. I have the scriptures to, you know, to tell them. And then I said, who are you wants to receive? You can receive it now. And they did. Even the guests of the church receive it. Because I have the mic. I have the power to say, okay, pray loud. And they did. This is in the church. How much more with the prayer group? The prayer groups are full of youth. Those youth, and this is another church, received the baptism. Some of them crying, some of them, they cannot stop. They shout, shut up, shut up. I was so excited. Oh, praise God. I said, look at the youth, look at the youth. And they were so excited, you know. And then one of the, minister is an American and he told me said I'm so glad you thought about the empowerment because they don't know the Holy Ghost they don't know the Holy Spirit I said that's what I called God called me you know to impart to them what God has given you know so this is a great time tell our listeners who is the Holy Spirit He is a gentleman. He is everything. Without the Holy Spirit, you cannot move. I always say, in Him I move and have our being. In Him we live and move. and have our being. Amen. Yeah, I sing to the Lord. I worship God. And that's when you worship, the Holy Spirit will give you that anointing. It will give you the presence of God. And that's what I want, the presence of God. Because in His presence is fullness of joy. So when I'm in the presence of God, everywhere I go, I can feel the presence. And then He will speak to me. the Holy Spirit is a good gentleman holy yes holy as a matter of fact I can feel him now the Holy Spirit is here the Holy Spirit is ready to give what the people needs amen and that's who we are we are just a vessel but the vessel should be holy as he is holy the vessel should be knowing him not only by word, but by action. He is with us, He is in us. He's not against us, amen? All this scripture that I got, I said, Lord, I always say, Lord, your word I've hidden in my heart that I am not seen against you. God is a good God. He has a plan for everyone, a plan of good and not of evil, a plan for us to be successful, And that success is knowing God because we are the citizens of heaven. We're not the citizens of this world. Amen? That's right. And in heavenly places, we have to know who we are because God has given us everything that Jesus has in the cross. He finished everything in the cross. And when He said, it is finished, He's done it all. All we have to do is, okay, take it. Okay, here's the word, here's the word. In every situation, I have word to speak to people. Yes. And that's when you speak the word of God, you are giving voice to the word. That's exciting, isn't it? That's why we have to know the Word. You have to read your Bible. If you don't read the Bible, you don't know God. And then you can't speak His voice. Right, that's so good. You know, one of the things that I think you can encourage our audience to is that you don't slack from looking for God whenever you're even going in a restaurant or wherever you're walking, even in the grocery store you've mentioned. Even in the car. So what is it that helps you to prompt you to look for that? And how do you speak that out? Because some people, that's intimidating, it's frightful. How do you encourage them? Well, God has given me boldness. That boldness of knowing him. Because when I speak, I know God is with me. I speak his word. It's not me. It's his word. He said he's watching over his word to perform it. So everything, whatever the question, the Holy Spirit have the answer. The Holy Spirit will give me the word. Because the word is alive and well in me. I'm strong in the Lord and in the power of His mind, I put on the full arm of God. I'm fully armed to destroy the works of the enemy. I'm fully known who I am. I'm seated in heaven, His praises in Christ Jesus. I am above and not beneath. I am the head, not the tail. And so when I see problem, I said, oh, that's easy. Let's pray. I have a friend. This is a testimony. She lost her one of her earring. I said, that's easy. Let's pray. And she was already crying. Oh, that's so precious, Malou. I said, it's okay, let's pray. So I prayed. I said, Lord, you know, the scriptures came over. And then when we arrived in her house, we parked. And when I look at the driveway, it was there. And I pick it up. I said, here. That's a testimony. Because she said, She's not fully. She's not fully. Full revelation of Jesus. Yeah. It's a revelation. That's one thing I want to emphasize. You have to have the revelation of the word of God. The revelation of who Jesus is in you. The revelation that God is in your heart. In throne in your heart. And the Holy Spirit will make the difference. Because the Holy Spirit is the action of his love for me and for those that I will minister. Amen. I will speak love because, you know, that will, you know, put them, you know, huh, Jesus loves me? Of course, he died in the cross for you. Right. There's so many instances I can tell you. we're out of time. But you know, I think that's where we wanted to emphasize too, is I would like you also, what do you do for someone who has walked away from the Lord, who's not been in the Word, has not been back in the church, and maybe there's hurt, and maybe they're blaming God. What would you speak to those who have been disconnected from the community of believers, because maybe that's where the wounding has happened or the judgments happen? What would you do to encourage them? Well, first of all, I will ask, Holy Spirit, help me. Because He's the answer, not me. I'm just a vessel. Amen. Holy Spirit, what is it? I give word of encouragement. You know what? Everybody works in a way that sometimes when we decide to do wrong things, there's consequences. But then, because God loves you, there is a way. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Put your trust in God. Repent. If there's any sin, repent. And when you repent, ask Jesus to tell you. what to do. Here am I, I'm a vessel of God, I will pray for you. And I know that God will hear our prayers because He said so. He hears the prayers of the righteous. His eyes and His ears are open to our prayer. So when I pray, God answers. And when I do that, the anointing comes. And when the anointing comes, the eyes will be open. Oh God, thank you. I prayed that in the Philippines, one of these ladies, three of them, they are in depression. But when I presented to them the Word of God and the Holy Spirit, they were baptized with the Holy Spirit. They have been Christians for so long. but they have not received it because they were not taught. The Holy Spirit should be taught in the church because it is empowerment. You cannot do anything without the Holy Spirit. You have to speak in tongues. And that's the fight that we can fight, the good fight of faith, because we're not speaking to man but unto God. We're speaking mysteries. Amen? And so that will relieve them. And then they were crying and said, oh, thank you. They received instantly the Holy Spirit. I didn't even touch them. Just speak, say something. Because it's all about Him. It's what He does. Yeah, it's all about Him. So we can't really take credit for something that's not from us. Precisely. That's really, I think, the beauty that we have as a believer is that it's not about what we do. It's about us just flowing with the yes. When we say yes to Him, It's what he does in that process that then leads us to those who are open to hearing what he has for them. So if I'm discouraged or I feel defeated, then the Lord is so good. If I'm not going to get into his word, he's going to use other people that are believers to actually help to spur me on to hear his word. He's so good to be able to orchestrate our pathway so that we can... see God even in nature. I have learned so many things when I'm out gardening and doing things in our yard is, I get to see the hand of God in so many creative ways. God's always speaking. Amen. Even whether it's his word or out and around us, the beauty is, you know, we were housewives, right? However, it's not just that, that God called us to be more than, and in every stage is to be more because we hunger for Him. I think, you know, I hear your hunger for God. And maybe some of you think, for me to sit down and read the Bible for more than a minute, it's a challenge. And we've actually, Dean and I have been working on a 21-day reading just to challenge us to get in the Word every day. We want to encourage you, it's never too late to get in on that, creating that pattern of reading the Word every day. And sometimes you may not, it's not about feeling, it's creating the pattern and starting somewhere. Because I've heard you quoted off probably a couple dozen scriptures while you're speaking, because it's become... actively a part of your whole what speaks comes out of your mouth which is so beautiful yeah I don't even think about it it's just come out but anyway I would like to suggest this that this really gives him more of God in me I when I wake up in the morning I would say good morning Father good morning Jesus good morning Holy Spirit thank you Lord God and good morning all the angels that surrounds me I ask you know I acknowledge the angels And then after that, I would read the Bible or speak loud the book of Ephesians, the book of Psalms, some of it, you know. And also after that, I would be worshiping God. It's just a pattern that I want to do because I want to have more of God in me. And I have this song that says, Joy of my desire, all-consuming fire, Lord of glory, Lord of Sharon, rare and sweet. It's just, I want God, you know, because He said, He inhabits the praises of His people. And that's what I don't want just to... say it. I want His presence. His presence is a fullness of joy. And that's why I can feel from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. And sometimes I would be crying because it's really awesome, awesome, awesome God we have. And so, after that, I would be speaking in tongues. Sometimes in an hour, sometimes a few minutes. And then now it's just a few minutes. I can hear for him. And I can hear what he's saying. And he's telling me overwhelming things. I cannot even tell. And I said, OK, Lord, I submit myself to you. I resist the devil and he will pray for me. Holy Spirit, hallelujah. I yield to you. What do you want me to do? What can I do for you? It's just, I want God to be present in me, that when I minister, they will feel the presence of God. The anointing breaks every yoke, isn't it? That's right. Every yoke of bondage be broken. Right. And sometimes now I can feel that because I'm so close to God that people stare at me. Because this is the prophecy that what they see in me is not me. It's God in me. And that's what I want to do. It's God. It's not me. I'm just a vessel. I'm just a shell. But without God, a shell... cannot do anything. But your obedience. I just want to obey. That's what I'm crying for. Lord, I want to obey because I want your will be done. That's the thing. His will be done in our life. Not my will, but just like Jesus said, not my will, Lord, but your will. And then another thing, I take communion every day. And in that communion, oh boy, I can also feel the presence of God. It's so awesome, you know. It's just a routine for me. It's very, very encouraging. It's a relationship that you have constantly. That's about that daily relationship that you have. You know, we want to encourage you, too, that you...
