What he did for the leper, what he did for them, for their brother to bring Lazarus back, those things are what remind me that say, whatever God did for somebody else, he'll do the same thing for you. Welcome to iRefresh, where we talk about the power of prayer and God's Word. Welcome to another episode and I have my friend Dolores Warrior Webb. Welcome. Thank you. I'm glad to be here. You know, it's so good for us to be together because of our circumstances. We have been texting each other for quite a few months because you have been walking through a tremendous amount of attacks on your health and on your family's health. So we'd love to hear about your journey. Okay. The biggest thing I wanted to share is that during a time where I was dealing with cancer treatment and radiation, on a more personal level, I was dealing with that myself with stage four gallbladder cancer. Then during that time, I also found out that my mother had COVID and our entire family died. had COVID and we were in the bed for several days, but then my mother was in the hospital for a long time. And she was actually on a ventilator. And so from that point, it was the report that we received from the doctor was not positive. It was something that of course we heard what the physician had to say, but at the same time, you have to know whose report you're gonna believe. And the doctor said that this is the report that we have, and it was not a positive report. But my family and I determined that we were going to trust the report of the Lord. And it was also during this time that where I thought I did not have any more strength to exceed or ask God for anything else in prayer, I... you know, with my name being Warrior, that was something I just kind of locked in on. And I said, you know what, we have to fight. And there are times that you pray to God and you don't feel the urgency and you don't feel the push to press yourself in or to push through some things. You just know that you pray and you're just asking God to help you. be okay. But in this time, I figured out that I was a lot stronger than I knew that I could be. And it was because my name says that I'm a fighter, I'm a warrior, that I'm strong, and that I have tenacity, and that I can war through anything. And so that's when we went to the war room. And that's also when I reached out to my friends. That's awesome. And our refresh is how you and I became contacted and I connected with you initially texting a lot and not even knowing you were going through your own situation as well. But here we are on the other side of something. Praise God. Praising God for what he's done and thanking God for healing my mom. Amen. Yeah. And so you actually became a little bit more involved with iRefresh at the very early stages. Yes, yes. At the very beginning, I was here and involved. And then we know sometimes life gets a little busy or you get distracted with some things and you start making some decisions about where you place your time. And what I realized is that iRefresh is not just something for us, but iRefresh is a global thing. entity that will transform lives of people and not just through prayer, but people saying that no matter what your race, your nationality, creed, color, that regardless of any of that, we are human beings and God created us specifically. to be here. And so the things that we go through are not uncommon to man, but those things that are those light afflictions, that when we get through those things, we're always to testify and let God know that we trusted him through the process, but more importantly, to let people know that we trusted him and that he has been our provider, our keeper, our way maker through everything. Just through simple communication with him. That's beautiful. You know, that's the thing that we reconnected. We had our kids kind of went elsewhere in different schools and kind of lost touch a little bit. But, you know, the thing that's great is there's no distance in prayer. None. None. And the beauty I find is how part of our story is today is when I was actually recouping from a procedure. As when you connected with me, reached out to me because you had a prayer need. Yes. So that's kind of where we start in on what God's been doing since that time of the prayer request. Yeah. And so I will tell you that I had my own personal illnesses that I was dealing with, but my mother got COVID. Yeah. And she was caring for my grandmother and she cared for her until the last day that she could. And from that day, they took her to the hospital and she was in the hospital for a long time. She was there for several days with a ventilator. And so she was not aware of anything that was going on. And with it being the pandemic that was going on, you couldn't go to visit her at the hospital. You couldn't go see her. We couldn't do anything. So all we had was prayer. And I remember reaching out to you and I told my sister, I said, there are a few people I'm going to reach out to. I said, but I'm also going to reach out to some other people. I said, because I know that they can get a prayer through. And so in your mind, when you're thinking about people that can pray with you, that join in, stand in the gap for others, our refresh was what came to my mind. And so I immediately I reached out to you unaware that you were going through your own situation. Which was, I mean, we actually had very similar situations. Yeah. But I had advice to remove something from my body, and you were actually going through it because it hadn't been removed. Right. Which to me, it was like, oh, wow, Lord. The timing in which you reached out to me. Yeah. Yeah. You know, God is so caught up in the details as the Psalms talks about. He is. He is. And I love how God reminded you like, hey, there is a group of women who love to pray. Yes. And they love to seek for, you know, which not just for us to pray and be in agreement with you, but you had declarations. Yes. You had scripture, like what we could stand with you on. Yes. To me, I love that. I think, you know, you were pumping up the team when I would send it out. I'm like, yes, God's good. You know, because you weren't just saying, oh, poor us, like life is desperate, which it truly was. Like your mother was not given a good... Good report. The report was totally devastating. Right. But you weren't listening to the report. No. You were giving us, like, this is what we are standing on. We are standing on God's word, and this is our declaration of life. Yes, exactly. And I always end it with, and she will speak from her own mouth. Oh, yeah. I am the healed of the Lord. And to me, when she was able to say that, That said to me, God was doing the work and that he would finish what he started. And so when I would send those things out to me, when I think of prayer and I think of us communicating and being in communion with. with Christ, knowing that he bore stripes on his back for our healing and knowing that he said that the things that you've experienced, there are some things I've experienced as well. And God wants to walk us through all of those things. But how do we put ourselves together? in line with Christ? How do we align ourselves with him? And to me, the only way to do that sincerely is through his word. You have to know what the word of God says. And that's not saying that for new Christians, you know, when they come in, they need to memorize the entire Bible and be able to quote scripture immediately. You know, these are things we've learned as mature Christians over time. And things, I think, at times that we may have even taken for granted because we just said, okay, well, I know this scripture. I know this word. This is what I'm going to say. But it's something about even when you're texting someone saying God told him to stretch forth his hand and his hand was healed. Oh. Or that when the leper came and Jesus said to him, you know, there were 10 that went out. But how many of you came back and said, thank you? You know, and so it's those bits and pieces of God's word that remind me. That if you pray in line with the word of God, he is not a respecter of person. That what he did for the leper, what he did for Mary and Mary Magdalene, what he did for them, for their brother to bring Lazarus back. Right. Those things are what remind me that say whatever God did for somebody else, he'll do the same thing for you. And it doesn't matter where you live. It doesn't matter if you're from the hood or if you're in a neighborhood. He just does that because he honors his word. And if you know his word or even if you're reading his word. He will say to you, I am not a man that I should lie. But just what you're asking me based on your faith, a mustard seed of faith, I will do what you've asked. Okay, so my question to you, for those who are listening. Sorry, I'm getting a little teary-eyed. You know, the encouragement I see, though, too, is some people are going to say, yeah, but they have the what ifs. Right. You know, there's a fear of, but what if on the other side, what I'm praying for. Right. Like when you're talking about your mother was given a report that it looked like she wouldn't live. Yeah, exactly. Like, what would you share with people about how did you counteract a report that says they don't have much hope? Right. My thought was, what do I have to lose? And I don't have to prove anything. God proves. Jesus proves. His word says, try me and see, taste and see that I am good. You know, he says he's always the one proving to me, showing me that he loves me, showing me. that he cares for me and showing me that he wants to do things, but am I willing to do my part? And so my part is whenever you're looking at what you're expecting from Christ, you have to be willing to do your part. And it's not always easy. Some days it's hard. Sometimes it's very hard and you're crying, you're in your war room, you're in prayer and, And you're crying out to God. And sometimes you feel alone. You feel like there's no one that there is with you. And then you have to remember that God said, I would never leave you. I'll never forsake you. And so when I'm praying, I always ask God to bring those things back to my remembrance so that whenever the devil tries to creep in and sow seeds of doubt or sow seeds of disappointment. In my mind, I'm thinking, okay, well, what if? What if it doesn't work out the way I see things working out? What if things don't go out the way I planned? And then I remembered, it's not my plan. It's God's plan. And God says it is his will that we are healed, that we are whole, that we're well. And the only way to do that is to step out on faith and do it, but not hide behind or hide from what the enemy has tried to set in play. Because you can't just stand back and watch your world fall apart. You have to be an active participant. But you chose. Yes, I did. I mean, you're not like everyone else. No. You made a choice that when you heard something, you chose to listen to what the Word was telling you. Yes. Because you were disciplined all these years, though, to be in the Word. Yes. So that you had something to go back to where the Holy Spirit could bring it back to your remembrance. Exactly. As well as constantly still in the Word. But then the Holy Spirit is so good to remind us of His truth. Exactly. Exactly. And so I have to say that it wasn't. You know, just me, but as a big sister, I'm the oldest of five children. And so for me to get emotional, for me to... have to say to them, you know, we talked to the doctor today and things are not, I wouldn't say it that way. There is a reframing that comes into play. And, you know, your kids may draw a beautiful picture for you. You look at it, you may not have a clue what that picture is, but what are you going to do? You're going to say, that is beautiful. Right. I'm so proud of you. Thank you so much for giving me that picture. When the doctors came to us or my sister spoke with the doctor or my dad, the conversation was, well, this is what they're saying. And so you don't ignore that information. You don't write it off. You simply say, this is what the doctors are saying. But then you also say, but I know what my Lord says and my Lord says, this is what's going to take place. And so you have to make a conscious choice, whether if you're a new Christian, you look up those scriptures. You look up healing. You look up what that means to you and to your family so that you can say, I am not alone. I am trusting in Christ and what he has done for others. He will do for me, not because I can do anything to be so good for him to do it. Because as a human beings, there's nothing that we can do to offer to him other than praise and prayer. There you go. That's what we have. There's your weapons. Yes. Those are your weapons, your praise and your prayer. And even when I wasn't feeling well, there were days I would just take my house shoes off and I would just shout in my living room by myself, praying in the spirit, speaking over those things, speaking life into my mom, to myself, anybody else that was sick that was in our household because we all were sick. We all were sick, very sick. Now, did everyone have the COVID? Yeah. Oh, okay. So everyone had COVID. Yes. On top of that, you had, were you in the middle of your treatments? Yes, I was receiving chemotherapy and radiation, which would normally make someone very sick. They'll lose their hair. You know, so many different things that can take place. Still have all my hair. That's tremendous. It's been some. But, you know, when I look at the other people that would go into the cancer treatment center and I would say to myself, I cannot be a weenie. This cannot happen like this. I see so many other people that are in worse shape than I am. Lord, I thank you that things are as well with me as they are. And you have to remember that because we sometimes we have our pity party. And I did. I have to admit, I did have a day. Oh, I had one. And during that day that I had it, I laid across my bed and I didn't say, why is this happening to me? because I couldn't let that come out of my mouth. God wouldn't allow me to say that because I know that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. That is his purpose. Anytime that there is sickness or disease or ailments, this is not of God. None of that is of God. It is of the enemy. It's of Satan. And it's because he wants to rob you of what God has planned for you. And what his plan for you may be is to be at Walmart and see a lady that you come in contact with. You give her eye contact and you may ask her, well, how are you doing today? And she may literally tell you. How she is doing. And you're sitting there and you're thinking, boy, I didn't know she was going to tell me all of that. But the truth of the matter is, is that when people give you that, they are simply saying, I'm struggling and I need to figure out how to move forward. Can you help me? And you offer that help. And that's good. You're looking for those God moments. Yes. Some people call it God winks. Yes. You know, and you know, God does it in the most unsuspecting times because you're like, you're already going through your own battle. Right. That's why I love that your last name is Warrior Webb because I have watched you as we've communicated back and forth over the last few months of you have warred in the spirit realm and you've been declaring that. that you're both you and your mother were going to overcome. Yeah. And it's a living testimony that you are both overcomers. Amen. And the fact that you are here today. Yes. That was a fight in itself. Right. Right. I mean, you had so many setbacks. Yeah. In the physical, what people would have said, they would have excused themselves. And I would have totally understood. Right. But you know the strength in your testimony of overcoming. Yes. And we are made overcomers by the words of our testimony. And so I... I know as soon as I accepted the engagement, I felt like a punching bag. I felt like the enemy was attacking me and that this was some type of personal vendetta that he had against me. But the thing is, until I take my last breath, I'm going to fight so that I can share God's word. There's too much kingdom work. That needs to be done for me to sit on the sidelines and just say, OK, well, I hope things work out for for you guys. I'll just pray for you in the corner. That's not a bad place to be. But at the same time, I need to be on the court. You know, if you're looking at basketball, you know, I have a three pointer that is just ready to go up. So I just have to be able to do what God has assigned to my hands. And one of the things he has assigned to my hands. is that I minister to people and that I love people the way God loved me. And he looked over all faults. Amen. Every mess up, every accident, every mistake, every sin. He looked over, and I'm going to call it what it is, every sin. He looked over that and saw me. So me. You know, that's the thing. We can keep on going on because Dolores, she's such a fireball of the Spirit of God, the joy that she brings because she's so full of the Word of God. Her faith just soars. And that's what we desire for you as well. And we desire that you learn. And even like she was talking about, Dolores was talking about, like maybe if you're just a beginner in the Word, we have resources on iRefresh.net that we are trying to help you. Like literally if you're needing, like she said, healing, we have a section on scriptures that literally will even teach you how to pray God's Word into your life because we know that His Word will not return voice. No. But it will accomplish. And it has been accomplishing much. So we hope that that will inspire you to take that same step of faith. Choose not the report that you're hearing, but choose God's report. Right. And see the goodness of the Lord. Yes.
